What is the best baby bottle for my baby?
This is a very frequently asked question, to which unfortunately there is no clear answer. Every baby is different. If you search for this question you will get the most different answers, and well-known brands always come up that are sold a lot. In any case, you can conclude that the baby bottle in question is nice to use for many babies, but that does not automatically mean money for your little one. That is why it is important that you try and test yourself. Especially if you have a healthy baby who is not bothered by anything, it is advisable to start with a baby bottle that is as close as possible to breastfeeding, i.e. nature. That is what every baby has in common, follow nature as much as possible. For example, if your little one suffers from colic, you will immediately look very differently. But it always remains a matter of trying, just like pacifiers.
What types of baby bottles are there?
There are so many baby bottles and different brands that you often can't see the forest for the trees. Today we dive into the brands that we have in the webshop, and that is not without reason. We chose these brands to sell for a reason. We do not 'just' include a brand in our range, we think about that ;) We currently have baby bottles from HAAKAA, BIBS and Lansinoh in our range. There are of course others like Dr. Brown and Difrax, but we do not have these in our range. Why did we choose these three brands?
HAAKAA - these baby bottles are very nice in themselves, but it is actually a whole system. The HAAKAA breast pumps, gen 2 & 3, can be combined with the baby bottles. Which is super handy! So if you have, or are looking to purchase, a HAAKAA - these bottles are a must have :) Made from medical grade silicone and non-toxic PP & PPSU and glass baby bottles.
Lansinoh - these baby bottles are really great if you are breastfeeding. The teats really imitate the nipple, and this minimizes teat-nipple confusion. Is breastfeeding not working? Then these baby bottles are also highly recommended, because they really imitate the nipple as much as possible. The bottle openers are flexible and stretchy, just like a mother's nipple. These baby bottles are available in both glass and propylene.
BIBS - these are glass baby bottles that are ideal if your little one also has the bibs teats. The BIBS baby bottles have the same teat, made of natural rubber. The glass is made of borosilicate glass, which is extremely strong and heat resistant.
Are there also baby bottles that take breastfeeding into account?
If you have become a mother, there is a very good chance that you are breastfeeding. It is often the case that most mothers eventually go back to work, so you want a baby bottle that does not cause confusion with your breast and the pacifier. Which baby bottle helps against colic
When a baby suffers from colic, it is terrible. In such a case, it is therefore important that you look at baby bottles that have a special anti-colic function. This can be in the form of a valve or other exhaust system, as this ensures that there is a good milk flow and prevents swallowing of air when drinking breast milk. When bottle feeding, it is really advisable to look at baby bottles that have this function. Consider, for example, the Dr. Brown bottles.
Do you also have glass baby bottles?
We notice that more and more parents are returning to glass baby bottles, due to the health of glass. It is practical, dishwasher safe and heat or cold has no effect on glass. The only disadvantage of glass, and why many parents opt for safe food-grade silicone etc. baby bottles, is the weight of a glass baby bottle or dropping a baby bottle. You don't assume that, but if it falls you don't want it to break. Very understandable. So if you prefer a glass baby bottle, you can work with all the brands we have in our range.
