Babies and care products , there is a lot to do. Nowadays we are increasingly aware of what is in products and whether we want to use it. It goes from breastfeeding, food, care, vaccines, clothing, toys and we even pay attention to TV (for the older kids). We parents are becoming more and more aware, we no longer take everything for granted, we know how marketing works. We know that money is a turning factor. However, there are more and more brands that have developed natural care products that keep our babies and children pure! That is why you will only see brands here that are clean, where the brands think about what the effect of each ingredient is. They get into the skin of the parent, and rightly so! Often it is also parents who started brands because the range at that time was terrible!

How often should I wash my baby?

The less the better, especially in the first few weeks it is important that you wash your baby as little as possible. You strip the skin of natural fats, by using care products this has an effect on the body and it regulates itself. Think of lip balm, if you use that your lips will become dry! Washing your baby is only with water in the beginning, that alone is enough. Once a week is often enough, of course if your baby spits up completely you can of course play him or her nicely in the shower on the chest of the father or mother. Beautiful moment!

A little bit of bodywash, shampoo you can use at some point. The amount only needs to be small, the advantage of this is that you can use it for a very long time! And that saves costs, and that is of course a great bonus!

Which shampoo/body wash is best for sensitive baby skin?

A baby has sensitive skin anyway, now one baby is of course not the other. However, we always recommend using a Bodywash that is as natural as possible without harmful ingredients. Fortunately, we only work with brands that really think about what they put in the care products for babies and children. It has really been thought about. That is why you can use everything that we have in our webshop, but if you really want the baby shampoo with the cleanest list of ingredients, then that is definitely the Attitude Baby Shampoo & Bodywash Fragrance-free

Of course we recommend washing as little as possible, and only when necessary! If you combine these tips with the product you will enjoy it for months :)

What ingredients should I look out for when purchasing for my baby?

What is in many products, but is not the best for babies is perfume. Although we find the scent wonderful, think of Zwitsal, the ingredient is not good for you at all. Let alone for your baby, it is all absorbed into the skin. Fortunately, nowadays natural perfume, or scent is extracted from natural ingredients such as essential oils. This is always indicated on the packaging where the perfume comes from, if this is not stated then it is a chemical additive.

Furthermore, you pay attention to drying alcohol ingredients, this may sound a bit strange but there are a number of fatty alcohol ingredients that are naturally extracted and therefore not drying but caring! But to make it easy for you, avoid it rather than choosing baby care with alcohol!

After washing my newborn, do I also need to apply sunscreen to the baby's skin?

If you do wash your baby, it is absolutely advisable to apply some cream. No matter how you look at it, care products always dry out. You can of course minimize this by using the most natural and correct ingredients, but it still does something to your body. This applies to young and old, so even more so to young!

A good oil, cream or natural body lotion is therefore an absolute must for your newborn!

We have multiple creams in our webshop that are all carefully selected based on ingredients that are as natural as possible. In other words, baby care without junk!

Go to the Baby Oil/Body Lotion page and discover our approved variants and of course our top 3 and more important information that will help you as a mom to be make the right choice!

Which baby shampoo or baby body wash doesn't sting the eyes?

Of course, we want the baby care products we use in the shower or bath not to sting the eyes. You just don't want that. It's very simple. All baby products do not sting the eyes and that is because the baby shampoos we use have a pH value of 7. Why 7? Because baby eyes have a pH value of 7! This is close to your baby's tears, and therefore it does not sting!
Now we hear you thinking, if a shampoo is adjusted to the pH value of the baby's eyes, is the shampoo good for the hair? A shampoo makes your baby's hair feel rough, and has nothing to do with what is in it, but rather what is not added to the baby shampoo! You only use the shampoo occasionally to cleanse, and not to care for. So it only contains cleaning and no care!

That's not necessary for babies, a conditioner for example ;)
