Is children's nail polish safe for my child's health?
Not all children's nail polish is safe and good for children's health. There are no laws that prohibit certain hormone disruptors from appearing in nail polish, to name just one example. So no, children's nail polish is not automatically safe for your daughter's health, but yes - there are brands that HAVE developed safe children's nail polish. In other words, look at the safe brands. Because safe children's nail polish is not yet common and can be purchased everywhere, we have decided to change that. We think it is important that every household can 'easily' place a polish for their daughter with their order. And of course that's just great for unpacking - she can join mom and her grown-up order for beauty items!
Is your children's nail polish the same as that of, for example, Hema and Kruidvat?
No, the children's nail polish that is for sale at Hema and Kruidvat is different from what we have in our range. Although they have the nicest colors and the price is very nice, they contain ingredients that you don't want on your daughter's nails. Hema now has children's nail polish, and Kruidvat sometimes does too. Of course, they may have a promotion and have temporary children's nail polish - but the price is compressed with the ingredients. Safe nail polish for children is simply a bit more expensive, because the ingredients are more expensive. This increases the sales price slightly, but it is better for the health of your daughter and it is an investment in her health.
Which brands offer safe and non-toxic nail polish for children?
There are more and more beauty brands that are created with non-toxic children's nail polishes. We currently have one brand in our range and that is Miss Nella. We chose this because they also have safe children's make-up. In addition, they have no fewer than 52 colors! That's a different color on your daughter's nails every week for a whole year! WOW! That's really a lot, haha. And...there are also colors that you as a mother can also wear! Really... it's really fun! Then you also wear safe nail polish ;)
Are there special nail polish removers for children's nail polish?
A good question, at some point children's nail polish can be removed. Perhaps because your daughter wants a different color or because it no longer looks so nice and she wants her entire nails covered in color ;) However, this is also a frequently asked question because many parents use normal nail polish themselves. Why? Because safe children's nail polish is not yet easily available everywhere. But like we said, we are changing this! Yes!
The Miss Nella nail polishes do not require nail polish removers. The children's nail polishes are designed in such a way that they are peel-off polishes! Ideal, and especially fun tinkering work for the little ones ;) Tinkering is what they like. Putting it on is fun, taking it off is fun too.
