Make sure your hair is dry and always use a heat protector when styling your hair with a heat tool.

Divide your hair into sections and take a medium sized section of hair. Clamp the flat iron around the section near the roots and slowly pull the flat iron down to the tip of the hair. Repeat until all sections are nice and smooth.
