In your search for the right baby bottle for your baby, you should also look for the right bottle teat. The search seems endless, but fortunately it is not. It can feel very overwhelming, and we understand that too. We also have fathers and mothers in our office ♡ We want to help you as best we can so that you can make the right choice for your sweet baby. Okay, the natural wave bottle teats!

There are 4 sizes of teats

XS = From birth

Slow = 2S - can be used from 1 month

Medium = 3M - can be used from 3 months

Fastflow = 4L - can be used from 6 months

The above sizes are of course the recommended age, and are based on what is most common. Which size your baby needs depends on the suction power your baby has. The younger your baby is, the slower the flow from the teat must flow to prevent choking & exhaustion. It is actually a matter of trying, because you can learn from trying. When do you know if you have the right teat? When your baby has finished his or her bottle for around 15 to 20 minutes without choking ♡

Can I clean the Lansinoh Bottle Teats in boiling water?

In the beginning, cleaning things is quite important. Your little one's immune system is not yet ready, and may develop in the coming years. In the beginning, it is quite important that you work cleanly, so not clinically ;) The NaturalWave teats can be sterilized in boiling water in five minutes. Always make sure that there is enough water in the pan, so that the teats do not boil dry. Then they are broken, and of course you do not want that. Or rather, the teats can melt. The teats must float and not come into contact with the bottom or sides of the pan.

Should the cap be screwed onto the teat when heating in the microwave?

It is not recommended to heat breast milk or other liquids in a microwave. The breast milk is heated unevenly, which can cause hot spots. There is a chance that your baby's mouth will be burned. In addition, the microwave destroys all the nutrients in the breast milk. Your maternity care will most likely tell you this ♡ It is also not recommended to heat the bottle in the microwave.

How often should I replace the NaturalWave teat?

Before using the Lansinoh bottle teat, we recommend that you always check the teats. Check for wear or damage. If there is no damage to the bottle teats, it is recommended that you purchase new bottle teats every 7 weeks. It is not recommended to expose the bottle teat to direct sunlight, heat or a disinfectant (sterilizing solution) for longer than recommended in the instructions as this can weaken the teat.
