Dye your eyebrows a shade darker or lighter? There are many trends in eyebrows. Sometimes it is difficult to keep up with them all, but the most important thing is that you are happy with your eyebrows! You can have your eyebrows dyed at the beautician, but sometimes it is also nice to be able to do it from home. We have various eyebrow colors in our range so that you can easily make your eyebrows glow from home! Scroll down for 5 handy tips & tricks.
1. Don't use regular hair dye
Never use regular hair dye to dye your eyebrows. The skin around your eyebrows is much more sensitive than your scalp. Regular hair dye can be too aggressive for the skin around your eyebrows.
2. Test to see if you are not allergic
Before using the eyebrow dye, it is useful to first check whether you are not allergic to the product. Apply a little eyebrow dye to the inside of your elbow and put a plaster over it. Leave this for at least 24 hours. If you have no skin reaction to the product after 24-48 hours, you can safely use it.
3. Cleanse your skin thoroughly before you start
Cleanse your skin before you start dyeing your eyebrows. Use a facial cleanser without oil. Oil prevents the dye from sticking properly.
4. Use Vaseline
Do you find it difficult to work very precisely? Then use a little Vaseline. Smear a little Vaseline around the skin of your eyebrows. The greasy cream ensures that the paint does not stick to the places where you smear the Vaseline.
5. Make sure your eyebrows don't get wet
You want to enjoy your dyed eyebrows for as long as possible. Therefore, make sure that your eyebrows do not get wet for at least 24 hours after dyeing. This allows the dye to penetrate the eyebrow hairs properly.
The very last and most important step: Rock your eyebrows!
Of course you can choose any color you like. If you want to go for a natural effect, the color of your eyebrows depends a lot on what color hair you have.
Blondies
The blondes among us often have naturally light eyebrows. The desire is therefore to make the eyebrows stand out a bit more. In this case, choose a darker color with a gray undertone. Be careful not to choose a color that is too dark. Go for a color that is a maximum of three shades darker than your own eyebrows.
Brownies
For brunettes and people with black hair, the opposite is true. Do you have a dark hair color? Then it is best to choose an eyebrow color that is slightly lighter than your own hair color. Choose an eyebrow color that is one to two shades lighter than your natural eyebrow color. This way you create a softer look.
Red hair
Not to forget the beautiful redheads. If you have red hair, you often have naturally light eyebrows, just like blondes. So choose a darker eyebrow color. As a redhead, it is advisable to choose a color with a warm undertone. This matches nicely with the hair color for a natural result.
