Pumping is one thing, but cleaning... that has to be quick and easy. You and your husband spend all day with your little miracle, so small household chores naturally need to be done as quickly as possible (and effectively, of course). And luckily, that's the case with the Lansinoh Breast Pump. Here's how:

Step 1. Disassemble everything according to the instructions. They explain exactly how to do this.

Step 2. Rinse immediately – Lukewarm water is best, as this prevents milk from sticking.

Step 3. Washing – Use a mild dish soap and a soft brush (or your hand). The HAAKAA Silicone Cleaning Set is a good example. Dishwasher safe as well.

Step 4. Sterilizing certain parts can be done in boiling water for 5 minutes. Read the instructions first, as they describe exactly what can and cannot be done.

Step 5. Check for damage - If worn, replace it. You don't want any hassle during or after pumping.

Step 6. Dry and store – In a clean, dry place. Not in direct sunlight or near sharp objects.

You don't have to be an expert, we promise. However, sometimes it's helpful to watch and/or read how to use something exactly. Just follow these steps, and you'll be using your breast pump in no time:

1. Plug into the wall socket or insert 6 AA batteries.
   
   
2. Follow the instructions and make sure everything is properly secured, in other words, just assemble it.
   
   
3. Choose your breast shield size – 24mm or 30.5mm, whatever you need.
   
   
4. Turn on the pump and select the suction level that suits you best.
   
   
5. Let the pump do its work – First, a quick suction to stimulate your let-down reflex, then a slower one – just like your baby would.
   
   
6. Collect the milk – In the included bottle, so you're immediately ready for the next feeding.
   
   
7. Let's clean – Done? Then clean again according to the steps above.
