      How important is skin care?

      It would be a shame if you neglect your body care every time. Your body deserves the same skin care as your face. After all, skin is skin. And your skin deserves protection against all kinds of harmful factors such as the sun, dirt and dryness. Dryness in particular is a common problem with the skin. But on the body, you often don't notice this, or it doesn't bother you very much.

      In addition, removing dead skin cells - which your skin continuously produces - has a great influence on the smoothness of your skin. If you properly maintain the removal of dead skin cells, your skin will look a lot smoother and more radiant. Dead skin cells are also a kind of protective layer for your skin. So do not remove dead skin cells too often. Balance!

      Especially if you spend a lot of time in the sun, good skin care is a must. UV radiation not only affects the health of your skin in the long term, UV radiation also has a great effect on your skin in the short term. A number of consequences of UV radiation are:thickening of the skin and inhibiting effect on the immune system. And of course you can also get badly burned.


      What is a good skincare routine for the body?

      The right skincare is key. Finding the right products for your skin can be a quest. Do you have very sensitive skin? Then it is best to use mild products and then you do not have to scrub your skin as often. Do you have dry skin, then hydration is important. And we can go on like this for a while! But first things first, what does a good skincare routine look like?

       

      #1 - Cleanse your skin
      Cleansing your skin is a must. This allows the nourishing skin cosmetics to be absorbed into your skin best after cleansing. Plus, the dirt that is on your skin must be removed. Often, there are residues of dirt left on your skin. Also from, for example, self-tanning, deodorant, sunscreen and body lotion products. And finally: use a shower gel that is based on natural ingredients.

       

      #2 - Scrubbing
      Is scrubbing bad for your skin or not? You may read one time that scrubbing is good for your skin, while another time you may read that you should avoid scrubbing. Scrubbing is not harmful to your skin, if you use the scrub in a proper way.

      • If you have sensitive skin, exfoliating twice a month is enough.
      • Do you have normal or oily skin? Then you can easily scrub once or twice a week.

      It is important that the scrub does not contain harmful and natural ingredients. By scrubbing your body, dead skin cells and dirt will be removed. And skin care or self tanning can be better absorbed into the skin. Scrubbing also helps against ingrown hairs.

       

      #3 - Shaving
      Always shave on damp skin. Preferably with shaving foam. Also, do not use an old or dull razor.

      How often & when should I apply skincare?

      Skincare for every day:

      Skincare for 1-2x per week:

      • Body oil
      • Scrub(for normal or oily skin)
      • Self-tanner(until you are happy with your tan)

      Skincare for 1-2x per month:

      • Scrub(for sensitive or dry skin)


      What skincare do I use for dry skin?

      Hydration, hydration, hydration. If you have dry skin, it is important to hydrate your skin well.
